Amanda Bennett (pictured left) is our founder! She has always loved fashion and helping others put together the perfect outfit. She knew at a young age that she wanted to one day run her own clothing store. Amanda graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in retail and has continued the pursuit of living her dream. After working for some great boutiques, she is excited to bring her vision to life and offer an affordable option for fashionable women's clothing that is great for both work and a fun night out.
Aimee Bennett (pictured right) is Amanda's identical twin sister. She studied Psychology at the University of Tennessee and is currently working on her Master's Degree in Nashville. She has spent many years working in retail and corporate human resources. As a brand ambassador, she loves spreading the word about The LUK. Finding clothes that can be worn at the office and still be stylish has always been a challenge for her and many others. She loves that The LUK is focused on making it easier for us to find amazing styles that can be worn professionally and for play, and still be affordable.
How The Luk was started:
Amanda was listening to her sister and friends continuously wish for more options for fashionable work clothes that can be worn at the office at an affordable price. Most young professionals end up with two separate wardrobes, one for work and one for play. They end up spending money on expensive items for work to not sacrifice on style, or become content with buying less stylish pieces that they don't really love and will never wear anywhere else except the office. Not many young professionals in their 20-30's have that kind of money, or closet space!!
After experiencing this firsthand, she decided to follow her dreams and launch an online clothing store that was geared towards offering on-trend affordable fashion that can transition from the office to a night on the town. Our items are picked with careful thought. At The Luk we strive for quality items that is fashionable yet affordable.
